Camarillo Holds 30th Annual Airshow

Several thousand attendees enjoyed the 2010 Wings over Camarillo Airshow took place this Saturday and Sunday at the Camarillo Airport.

The event celebrated 30th anniversary and brought back a more than three-hour flying exhibition featuring the aerobatic routines of Chuck Aaron in the Red Bull helicopter, John Collver in War Dog, Rob Harrison the “Tumbling Bear” and Torrey Ward in his RC micro-jet.

The exhibition will also had flybys of vintage, experimental and certified aircraft; a parade of War Birds; and formations of rarely seen WWII fighters, bombers and transport planes.

World War Two fighter pilots, including several aces, were available to answer questions and give tours of the aircraft.
