Camarillo Crime Update

The following information was released by the Ventura County Sheriff Department:
An 18-year-old man was arrested for alleged burglary in the 300 block of Arneill Road and booked in Ventura County Main Jail on July 23.
Police cited and released a 19- year-old woman for a reported hitand run and not having a driver’s license on Aug. 4 in the 1300 block of Ventura Boulevard.
Someone entered two classrooms at Adolfo Camarillo High sometime between June 30 and July 28 and took two computer hard drives valued at $500.
A 35-year-old man was arrested Aug. 4 for allegedly forging a prescription in the 3700 block of E. Las Posas Road.
Someone caused $200 in damage when breaking into a locked vehicle parked in the 1500 block of San Rafael Way Aug. 4.
An unidentified person tried to forge a prescription Aug. 4 at a pharmacy in the 5200 block of Mission Oaks Boulevard.
A 26-year-old man was cited and released Aug. 5 for allegedly altering a vehicle’s identification number at Arneill Road and Ventura Boulevard.
Sometime between Aug 4 and 5, a person entered an unlocked vehicle and took $100 in cash and property valued at $400 in the 500 block of Via Del Cerro.
Vandals caused less than $400 in graffiti damage to a day care building in the 2300 block of Pickwick Drive sometime between Aug. 4 and 5.
Sometime between Aug. 4 and 5, vandals defaced property in an alley in the 200 block of Arneill Road, causing less than $400 in damage.
Police arrested a 28-year-old man Aug. 6 for alleged possession of a deadly weapon—a knife concealed in his front pants pocket—and for being under the influence of a controlled substance in the 1600 block of Daily Drive.
A 21-year-old man was cited and released for alleged battery in the 1600 block of Daily Drive on Aug. 7.
On Aug. 9, a 41-year-old man was arrested on an outstanding warrant in the 1600 block of Daily Drive and booked in Ventura County Main Jail.
A 37-year-old woman was arrested for allegedly taking less than $400 worth of merchandise without paying for it from a store in the 500 block of Ventura Boulevard on Aug. 8. A wire cutter used to cut off merchandise tags was reportedly found in her possession.
Police cited and released a 60- year-old woman for failure to appear in court in the 100 block of Calle Vista on Aug. 9. The officer did not take the woman into custody because of her age and medical condition.
A 42-year-old man was arrested in a motel room in the 1600 block of Daily Drive Aug. 9 for violation of his probation.
An unidentified person threatened a 56-year-old man with bodily harm on July 14 in the 5000 block of Hillridge Drive.
Between Aug 3 and 8, police reported arresting five people for allegedly driving under the influence of a controlled substance and four people on various drug charges. During that same time period, three people were arrested for allegedly being drunk in public.
